Eric Losfeld founded Éditions Le Terrain Vague in 1955. The publishing house was located at one time in rue de Verneuil, 14 - 16 Paris. It published the books of Benjamin Péret, Marcel Duchamp (Marchand du sel) and Boris Vian (Vercoquin et le plancton), erotic fiction such as Emmanuelle (1962), works on cinema and graphic novels.
