Effects of World War II, Berlin Wall
"The Berlin Crisis of 1961 (June 4 1961November 9 1961) was the last major incident in the Cold War regarding the status of Berlin and post-World War II Germany. It was provoked by a new ultimatum issued by the Soviet Union demanding the withdrawal of allied forces from West Berlin. It culminated in the erection of the Berlin Wall, and de facto partition of Berlin."
