Danny Elfman (°1953) is an American composer who is most famous for writing The Simpsons Theme and leading the rock band Oingo Boingo as singer / songwriter from 1976 until its breakup in 1995, and has composed film scores extensively since 1985's Pee-wee's Big Adventure.
