The Mercy of Allah (1922) is a novel by British writer Hilaire Belloc. It recounts the exploits of Mahmoud, a moneylender. It is both seen as a critique of Islamic culture and a criticism of capitalism. It belongs to his "distributist" writings. A. N. Wilson calls it "the most brilliant of his fantasies."
