When still a student, Michel Caen founded Midi Minuit Fantastique with Alain Le Bris. Le Bris and Caen wanted to write a book on Terence Fisher, but Eric Losfeld called in the help of Jean Boullet and persuaded Caen and Le Bris to found a magazine which became Midi Minuit Fantastique.
