Frau bei der Selbstbefriedigung[1] (1916) is a pencil drawing by Austrian artist Gustav Klimt. What makes this drawing so exciting is the fact that the woman masturbating is largely clothed. Compared to this, Egon Schiele's Die Traumbeschaute[2] is very blunt and rather unattractive.

Both are good examples of fin de siècle erotica. More female genitalia in the arts can be found in Gilles Neret's Pussycats. The archetypical work in this category is Courbet's The Origin of the World[3]; I've previously shown you the impressive Pearl Seeker. While researching this little article, I came across one of my favorites, Kubin's Death Leap[4] and The Road to Hell[5].
