Colette Colligan is Assistant Professor of English at Simon Fraser University, Canada and author of The Traffic in Obscenity from Byron to Beardsley . Her essays on Nineteenth-century literature and culture, print and media studies, and the history of obscenity appear in edited collections and leading scholarly journals. She is at work on a study of 'Pornography of the Real', which explores the convergence of documentary and pornographic realism in the Nineteenth-century.
