Among the variety of ways cannabis is consumed, most are some form of smoking or oral consumption. Cannabis is unique in holding psychoactive effects that ranges from and that can be any combination of hallucinogenic, stimulant and depressant qualities. It is said that each method is to have subtly different psychoactive effects due to the THC and other chemicals being activated, and then consumed through different administration routes. It is generally considered that the Indica goup of plants produce a somewhat more relaxing ('stoning') effect, while the Sativa group of plants tend to be be more cerebral in effects. Complicating this issue is the fact that most marijuana plants are a hybrid of these two types of plants. There also is a more stoned feel vs a high if the flowers are not pulled before the THC starts to degrade and turn a brownish color instead of a clear or amber color. Eating cannabis when done correctly has two major benefits. The levels eaten can be higher to help medical conditions and it also gives the user much longer lasting effects likely due to the levels being higher.
