1001 Nights was the name of café in Tangier run by Brion Gysin named after the Arabian Nights.
One Night @ The 1001
One Night @ The 1001 is a CD released by Sub Rosa Records which compiles recordings that Gysin made of the musicians who performed at 1001 Nights during the 1950s. The album also has a recording of “Dilaloo,” his poem detailing an initiation ceremony he attended in Jajouka. Collaborator Ramuntcho Matta put the CD together from the 23 tapes Gysin to him before his death.
