Magic is a performing art that entertains an audience by creating the illusion of impossible feats, using purely natural means. Such feats are called magic tricks, effects or illusions. An artist who performs magic is called a magician or conjuror. Magicians (or magi) are also referred to by names reflecting the type of magical effects they typically perform, such as prestidigitators, conjurors, illusionists, mentalists, or escape artists.
