"Warm Leatherette" is a 1978 single by The Normal. The lyrics and sleeve reference J. G. Ballard’s novel Crash. The song was later recorded by Grace Jones.

A tear of petrol is in your eye/
The handbrake penetrates your thigh/
Quick/Let's make love/Before you die/
On warm/Leatherette.

The song has also been covered by artists Pankow, Die Tödliche Doris, Sleep Chamber, Vitalic, Chicks on Speed, Sleep Chamber, Dive, and in 2006 Trent Reznor with Peter Murphy.
