Variétés' was a surrealist magazine founded by Paul-Gustave van Hecke. It was created in May 1928 as a glossy magazine. The editors were Albert Valentin, Denis Marion and E. L. T. Mesens . In June 1929, a special publication of Variétés, called 'Surrealism in 1929' was edited by André Breton and Louis Aragon.
