Early March 2010, I sent Paul Rumsey this page with grotesque shunga [1] Katsukawa Shuncho.
Paul said:
- The image that you sent[2], which it says is "artist unknown" is by the same artist who did the 1/1 image, Katsukawa Shuncho (or Shunsho) - the image with the sort of Hydra penis monster.
- There is a book in a local second hand shop on Shunga which has six old b&w illustrations by this artist from a series.
- The pictures are all of the same long horizontal format as the penis Hydra picture.
- The Penis Hydra (1/1)
- A composition with the image you sent (6/6) with the penis man with his stick on his sholders on the right.
- A similar composition with him holding the stick upright.
- A vagina faced woman with a baby penis in her arms.
- a man riding on a sort of penis headed tiger which has two penises for tails.
- a man looking out of a window at a penis fox dancing in the garden.
