The University of Padua (Italian Università degli Studi di Padova, UNIPD), located in Padua, Italy, was founded in 1222. It is among the earliest of the universities and the second oldest in Italy. As of 2003 the university had approximately 65,000 students. The Censis' 2009 survey nominated the University of Padua as the "Best University" among Italian universities with more than 40.000 students.
