Under the Hill is an erotic satire by Aubrey Beardsley published in the Savoy magazine, edited by the high priest of the English Decadent movement, Arthur Symons.
It was loosely based on the Tannhäuser legend. It was never to be finished due to Beardsley's illness; the first parts of it were published in The Savoy and later published in bookform by Leonard Smithers under the title Under the Hill. In 1907 the manuscript was published under the title The Story of Venus and Tannhäuser.
