Un cadavre (A corpse) is a 1930 virulent pamphlet against André Breton organised by Robert Desnos, to which dissident surrealists such as Georges Bataille contributed. Its title was based on a 1924 pamphlet by the Surrealists against Anatole France.

1924 pamphlet against Anatole France

October 12, 1924 - Death of Anatole France. In reaction to the national funeral the surrealists publish a pamphlet « Un cadavre » (Aragon : "Avez-vous déjà giflé un mort ? [...] Certains jours j'ai rêvé d'une gomme à effacer l'immondice humaine". Breton : "Avec France, c'est un peu de la servilité humaine qui s'en va."). Jacques Doucet parts ways with Aragon and Breton.

Modeled on the 1924 pamphlet against Anatole France, the dissident and ostracized members of the Surrealist group publish a collection of essays against André Breton under the title « Un cadavre » : Jacques Baron « Un bon débarras », Georges Bataille « Le Lion châtré », Jacques-André Boiffard « Questions de personnes », Alejo Carpenter « Témoignage », Robert Desnos « Thomas l'imposteur », Michel Leiris « Le Bouquet sans fleurs », Georges Limbour « Lettres », Max Morise « La Marseillaise », Jacques Prévert « Mort d'un Monsieur », Georges Ribemont-Dessaignes « Papologie d'André Breton », Raymond Queneau « Dédé », Roger Vitrac « Moralement puer » . Despite his exclusion, Artaud refuses to sign the pamphlet.
