"Twine Time" is a musical recording written by Andre Williams and Verlie Rice. It was released by Alvin Cash in November 1964 and became an American national hit.

The recording was reinterpreted as a ska version ( a "skadaptation") in 1965 as "Doctor Ring Ding", originally released as a 45 on the Studio One label credited to Roland Alphonso & Soul Brothers.

"Twine Time" became popular in the UK in the Northern soul scene in the 1970s.
