Tokyo is a 2008 omnibus film by three directors, with each segment shot in Tokyo, Japan. Michel Gondry of The Science of Sleep and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Leos Carax of The Lovers on the Bridge, Bong Joon-ho of The Host each directed a segment. "Shaking Tokyo", directed by Bong Joon-ho, tells the story of a man (Teruyuki Kagawa) who has lived for 10 years as a hikikomori (people unable to adjust to society and never leave their homes), and falls in love with a pizza delivery girl (Yu Aoi). He finally finds the courage to join the outside world but finds all of Tokyo under the hikikomori situation. At the moment he finds the delivery girl, a severe earthquake starts to shake Tokyo.
