The Screaming Mimi is a mystery novel by pulp writer Fredric Brown. It was first published in 1949.

Adaptations
The Screaming Mimi has been adapted into a movie twice; Gerd Oswald's The Screaming Mimi in 1958, and then, more loosely, Dario Argento's The Bird with the Crystal Plumage in 1970. Brown is not credited for the latter.
