Le Roman de Violette (The Romance of Violet) is a novel long time attributed to Alexandre Dumas (but also to Guy de Maupassant and Victor Hugo), published in Brussels in 1883 and in 1992 by Mercure de France. At the publication by La Musardine in 1999, Jean-Jacques Pauvert unveiled the veritable author: la marquise H. de Mannoury d'Ectot.
