The New Republic (TNR) is a liberal American magazine of commentary on politics and the arts published continuously since 1914.
It is published biweekly and has a circulation of approximately 60,000. The editor-in-chief is Martin Peretz and the current editor is Franklin Foer. Politically, the magazine generally supports center-left, liberal policies.
