"The Music Got Me" (1983) is a musical composition by Boyd Jarvis released on Prelude Records. It was co-written with Jason Smith.
In 1990, Jarvis sued Robert Clivillés and David Cole of C+C Music Factory for copyright infringement over their song "Get Dumb", which illegally incorporates parts of "The Music Got Me".
"The Music Got Me" has a riff very similar to the one in "You Ain't Really Down" by Status IV.
