The Key (Kagi), is a novel written by Jun'ichirō Tanizaki in 1956. The story was translated into English by Howard Hibbett and published by Vintage International Books.

The entire story is written in diary form: that is, the narrative is in the form of diary entries by the husband and Ikuko.

The story was made into the 1960 film, Odd Obsession, directed by Kon Ichikawa.
