Le Malade Imaginaire (roughly The Hypochondriac or The Imaginary Invalid) is a play and the last work by Molière. It was first performed in 1673. Molière collapsed during the fourth time the play was performed (on February 17 1673), and died soon thereafter. The work itself consists of three acts. The original play included dance segments and musical interludes written by the French composer Marc-Antoine Charpentier.
