The Egg (1885, French: L'Œuf) is a litograph by Odilon Redon (French, 1840-1916). It depicts an egg with eyes peeping over an egg cup. It was shown at the Wunderkammer: A Century of Curiosities (2008) exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art.

It is also the title of a print by Alfred Kubin. The Egg (Das Ei)[1] (1901-02) depicts a pregnant and radiating female skeleton standing next to an empty grave. In the background is a sculpture. According to The Art of Evolution: Darwin, Darwinisms, and Visual Culture, "pregancy and fetal forms are monstruous"[2]
