Sunday (1961) by Dan Drasin

Sunday is a 17 minute documentary short directed by Dan Drasin.

Drasin and a small crew of friends accompany a group of folk singers and protesters to Washington Square Park in Greenwich Village where -they confront New York City authorities in protest of the city's canceling their standing permit to gather and sing in the park on Sundays. It was one of the first social protest films of the 1960s, and earned nine international festival awards.
