Stanley Kubrick (July 26, 1928March 7, 1999) was an influential and acclaimed American film director and producer considered among the greatest of the 20th Century. He directed a number of highly acclaimed and sometimes controversial films, including 2001: A Space Odyssey, Paths of Glory, A Clockwork Orange, and Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb.
