Alfred Jarry on a bicycle[1] is the informal title of French writer Alfred Jarry riding a bicycle.

As of July 2013, the photo is known in Wikipedia as "Photograph of Alfred Jarry on a bike in Alfortville."

It is unclear why Alfortville is in that title.

The same photo is credited as "Alfred Jarry, devant le Phalanstère de Corbeil en 1898" by Larousse[2], which cites Archives Larbor as the provenance of the photo.

The Phalanstère de Corbeil was the informal title of a rented house in the proximity of the Grands moulins de Corbeil in what are now the suburbs of Paris.

The bicycle is the "Clément Luxe 96."

The photo is used on Alfred Jarry: A Pataphysical Life by Alastair Brotchie.
