Sonny Okosuns or Sonny Okosun (January 1, 1947 - May 24, 2008) was a Nigerian singer and musician. He died of colon cancer. He is known for his contribution to the Sun City album and for his African reggae, Afrobeat recordings.
Okosuns first came to international attention with the 1977 composition "Fire in Soweto[1]".
His work is featured in the documentary film Konkombe - The Nigerian Pop Music Scene (1995) by Jeremy Marre.
