  • 1763: 15 days of jail (23 years) By order of Louis XV of France, the Marquis de Sade is committed to Vincennes fortress for excesses committed in a brothel which he has been frequenting for a month
  • SPRING 1768: Château de Saumur, after the Rose Keller affair
