River Jude Phoenix (August 23 1970 – October 31 1993) was a American film actor. His career was cut short, however, when he died of an overdose of heroin and cocaine on Halloween morning at age 23. He was the older brother of actor Joaquin Phoenix. His iconic film is My Own Private Idaho.
