Debate continues as to how to define the religious aspects of Nazism. Historians, political scientists and philosophers have studied Nazism with a specific focus on its religious or semi-religious aspects. The most prominent discourse is the debate whether Nazism would constitute a political religion, but there has also been research on the millenarianistic, messianic, Gnostic and occult aspects of Nazism.
