Charlie Ray Wiggins (born May 14, 1966, Oakland, California), professionally known as Raphael Saadiq, is an American singer, songwriter and record producer associated with the soul music movement.

Saadiq has been playing music since the age of six. During the 1970s and 1980s, he played bass at church and school. He also enjoyed his onstage moments at various local events in his hometown.
