Playboy Stories: The Best of Forty Years of Short Fiction

This anthology edited by Alice K. Turner published by Dutton in 1994 includes 41 stories from Isaac Bashevis Singer, Bernard Malamud, Nadine Gordimer, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Tom McGuane, Ursula Le Guin, T. Coraghessan Boyle, and others.

Stories included are Trial of the Warlock by Norman Mailer and "Modern Love" by T. Coraghessan Boyle. "Modern Love" is the story of a man who falls in love with a hygiene fanatic who makes him wear a full-body condom pending the results of a physical.
