Peter O'Donnell (April 11, 1920 – May 3, 2010) was a British writer of mysteries and of comic strips, best known as the creator of Modesty Blaise, a female action hero / undercover trouble-shooter / enforcer. He was also an historical romance novelist who wrote under the female pseudonym Madeleine Brent.
