PC: Ik geef toe dat het een gevaarlijke uitspraak [dat sommige culturen superieur zijn] is en dat je dit goed moet uitleggen, maar in essentie is het een juiste uitspraak. Het betekent niet dat westerlingen op hun borst moeten slaan, want dat zou tot een soort zelfgenoegzaamheid leiden. Het betekent ook niet dat westerse mensen superieur zijn ten aanzien van mensen uit een arabische of aziatische cultuur. Het feit dat mensen gelijkwaardig zijn betekent niet dat culturen gelijkwaardig zijn. Culturen waarin mensen geknecht worden zijn niet gelijkwaardig met andere culturen. Culturen waarin mensen niet als gelijkwaardig worden beschouwd moet je afwijzen en zijn in essentie inferieure culturen. Mensen zijn gelijkwaardig, maar culturen niet. [1] |

Paul Bernard Cliteur (born 6 September 1955) is a Dutch professor of jurisprudence at Leiden University, and also a philosopher, writer, publicist, and columnist. He is known for his liberal perspective, his atheism, republicanism and efforts for animal rights. He is a member of De Vrije Gedachte. He is the author of Against Decadence (2003). He published "Constitutional Principles as State Territory" in 2017.
