Mon Livre d'Heures (1919, titled Passionate Journey' in English) is an early graphic novel, featuring 165 woodcuts by Belgian Frans Masereel. The 1920s saw a revival of the medieval woodcut tradition, and Frans Masereel is often cited as "the undisputed King" (Sabin, 291) of this revival.
