"On Translating Sade" (1966) is an essay by Austryn Wainhouse, first published in the Evergreen Review. It is not about the technicality of Sade translations but an attack by Wainhouse on Maurice Girodias regarding the copyright of the Sade translations he did for Obelisk Press.
