I spent yesterday October 2, 2016 in Paris with my brother. I arrived at the Gare du Nord, went to the Magritte exhibit and the exhibit on the Beat Generation, both at Centre Pompidou, visited the Foucault pendulum at the Panthéon, Un Regard Moderne (owner Jacques Noël had just died, was there three times and always on a Sunday so never managed to get in), had a couscous lunch, wound up at the Canal Saint-Martin (drank two cognacs and a coffee in the lovely bar Au pont tournant (the landlady has had this bar for 42 years)), went to Sacré-Cœur, to the Montmartre Cemetery, to the Parc Monceau, to the Père Lachaise (which was closed) and back home.
