Joseph Kittinger and Franz Reichelt
In 1912, Franz Reichelt fell to his death from the tower demonstrating his wearable parachute.
On 16 August 1960, Joseph Kittinger, in the Excelsior III test jump, set the current world record for the highest parachute jump.
