La Nuit la plus longue (Enfer dans la peau) is a 1964 French film by José Bénazéraf. The English language title is Sexus. The story is of a beautiful heiress kidnapped for a ransom. The heiress develops an attraction to one of her kidnappers. This low-budget film has been called Bénazéraf's signature work, and of having the feel of a Nouvelle Vague film. The film features wild exotic dances accompanied by free jazz and a surrealistic and and beatnik aura. The Chet Baker score and the contemporary fashion make the film relevant for present viewers.milieu. Radley Metzger picked up this film for American distribution.
