Nick Drake (1948 – 1974) was an English singer-songwriter and musician known for songs such as "River Man" (1969).

His acoustic and autumnal songs failed to find a wide audience during his lifetime, but Drake's work has since grown steadily in stature, to the extent that it is now widely considered one of the most influential English singer-songwriters of the last 50 years. He committed suicide aged 27.
