Μουσα Παιδικη (Mousa Paidike, "The Boyish Muse") is an anthology of erotic and amorous epigrams written by Straton of Sardis

Machine translation

Moussa Children is called a collection of poems ("book") containing poetry poems of antiquity, a collection of poems from several ancient poets - bookmakers whose repertoire is attributed to Straton the Shario. These poems are the twelfth book of the Palatine Anthology and are found on pages 569-607 of the manuscript [1] . Children's Muse contains 259 poems - epigrams, 32 poets in total, and some of which are not known by the journalist. Most epigrams are attributed to Straton , Meleagros , Kallimachos , Asklipiadis , while a smaller number in Rianos , theDioscorides , the posidippus in Statyllio Flakko in Alkaios , the jib and Frontona . Epigraphs from twenty-one more poets (one from each) are also part of the anthology "Children's Muse".

This anthology begins with the first epithet - dedication of Straton, to Jupiter, and says he does not disturb the Muses (he does not devote it to them). As the poet himself says he loves ("kiss") the children and the children talking, and he wonders why (he was disturbing) the Musses of Helicon. He prefers, therefore, the male deity of Zeus (who was known to have had relations with children / young people from the twelfth), and not the female deities of the Muses [2] . In other epigrams reference is often made to the relationship Ganymede -Dia [3] .
