Mon Oncle Barbassou is a French novel by French writer Mario Uchard first published in 1877 by Calmann-Lévy. Other French editions include that of 1884 by J. Lemonnyer. English translations were published by Vizetelly & Co.
It is the story of a man who inherits a Turkish harem bequeathed to him by his uncle.
It has been variously translated as My uncle Barbassou, French and Oriental Love in a Harem, and A Frenchman in Mohammed's Harem.
