Michel Lévy (1821-1875) was a French publisher, who founded the publishing house "Michel Lévy Frères" in 1836 in Paris, together with his brothers. He published Charles Baudelaire until December 1856, when his relationship with Lévy, who had been the publisher of his Poe translations, was going through a difficult period, he suddenly turned towards Auguste Poulet-Malassis to publish parts of the The Flowers of Evil cycle.
