"Memories" is a song written by Hugh Hopper recorded by Soft Machine in 1967 on their demo album Jet Propelled Photographs. It was later covered by Bill Laswell's project Material on their 1982 album One Down, sung by Whitney Houston, one of her first recordings as featured vocalist, and Archie Shepp on tenor sax.
