Marilyn Frye (born 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is a philosophy professor (retired) and feminist theorist. She earned her Ph.D. at Cornell University in 1969 and has taught feminist philosophy, metaphysics, and philosophy of language at Michigan State University since 1974. Frye also served Michigan State University as Associate Dean for Graduate Studies of the College of Arts and Letters.
