Lou Salomé reins Friedrich Nietzsche and Paul Rée in front of her cart (1882)[1][2] is the informal title to a photo of Paul Rée and Friedrich Nietzsche being reigned by Lou Salomé. Salomé reins both men in front of her cart, she is holding a whip. The photo was taken in the studio of Jules Bonnet in Lucerne between the 13th and 16 May 1882. The photo was arranged by Nietzsche in detail, after Salome had rejected marriage proposals of both men.
