"Looking For The Perfect Beat" is a 1983 electro/hip hop song by Afrika Bambaataa. It was a followup to his highly influential song "Planet Rock". "Looking For The Perfect Beat" was the basis for the acid house performer Bomb The Bass's hit song "Beat Dis" and was sampled on LL Cool J's song "Control Myself". The song was also sampled to create the beat for DJ Khaled's song "Holla at Me".

"Looking For The Perfect Beat" is featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on the radio station called Wildstyle Pirate Radio.It is also featured in the game Scarface: The World is Yours.
