The Washington Post is maintaining a database of police shooting deaths: occasions where a U.S. law enforcement officer shot and killed someone in the line of duty, covering 2015 through the present.

The British newspaper The Guardian has collected and organized in a database reports of killings by U.S. law enforcement officers in 2015 and 2016, and found that they are incorrectly reported in over 50% of the cases.
